The Management of Hypothyroidism #ToftTalk

Consultant Physician, Dr Anthony Toft, CBE LVO MD FRCP, gave an excellent talk, on The Management of Hypothyroidism, at our Information Event at Crown  Court Church on 24th November 2018.  This event was so popular it developed it's own hashtag #ToftTalk!

The talk and Q&A was kindly filmed by our friend, broadcaster Jules Serkin, using her handheld mobile phone and a microphone. We are eternally grateful to her for doing this. The footage has been lightly edited to include slides summarising the questions asked from the audience. Unfortunately some of the discussion was not recorded, but we got most of it and are very happy to be able to share.

Dr Toft kindly followed up with the following research references to studies mentioned in his talk.

Jonklaas J, et al 2018 Physician choice of hypothyroidism therapy: influence of patient characteristics. Thyroid 28: 1416-1424.
Peterson AJ, et al 2018 An online survey of hypothyroid patients demonstrates prominent dissatisfaction. Thyroid 28: 707-721.
