Rockstar Liam Gallagher told Matt Wilkinson, in an interview, that he might retire early at some point, because of his thyroid condition, Hashimoto's. This prompted an outcry on Twitter with fans concerned for his wellbeing - and many thanking him for helping raise awareness of thyroid health issues. 24th September 2019

Thanks to journalist Rachel Ellis, patient Mary Saunders and Dr Pete Taylor for this excellent in depth article in the Daily Mail - featuring the ongoing issues with access to T3, which some patients are still experiencing, despite NHS England guidance that it should be available to those who require it. Our director, Lorraine, is also quoted. The clarified guidance should be finalised soon and ought to make a big difference. |
