Information SourcesThere's a lot of information published online about thyroid disorders. However a lot of it may be unreliable, sometimes people are trying to sell you something, may be out to promote themselves, or may simply not be fully informed themselves. When doing your own research we strongly advise sticking to trusted sources of information, such as those listed below.
British Thyroid Foundation - comprehensive patient information on all aspects of thyroid disease, approved by medics.
British Thyroid Association - see the latest guidance for patients, GPs and endocrinologists, particularly helpful for clarifying the guidance around T3/liothyronine. 'Understanding Thyroid Disorders' book by Dr Anthony Toft, published by the British Medical Association's Family Doctor Series. (Dr Toft was the speaker at our November 2018 event and is now an Honorary Trustee of The Thyroid Trust).
