With your help we can take on more campaigns, run more information events and do more to raise awareness of thyroid disease.

Meet our volunteers and find out why they've chosen to get involved and how it's made a difference to their lives.

What you can expect as a volunteer

When you volunteer for us you will be welcomed as a member of a team who are all there to support and help you in whatever role or activity you take on.

You may receive a copy of our Induction Pack which provides background information on the Thyroid Trust, its aims and governance. This is just to help you gain an understanding of the charity and the work that it does.

We use a number of different digital tools to support our work - you may not need to use all of them but you will be given
training in how to use the ones you’ll be using on a regular basis.

We have a dedicated workspace on an app called Slack, which enables our volunteers to stay in touch and to support each other in their volunteering activity

We hold monthly volunteer get-togethers online, using Zoom, which enables us to stay in touch with our volunteers, discuss any issues and outline what activity needs doing.

We issue a regular newsletter for all our supporters and volunteers
