Fahmidan Journal call for submissions!

Hello,

My name is A.R.Salandy and I am the co-Editor in Chief of Fahmidan Journal alongside R.K.Kisswani and our brilliant team.

As a journal our focus has been on supporting people whose voices need to be heard, whilst seeking to have critical themes behind our issues. These have ranged from Social Issues to our Spring themed issue: When Mother Nature Wakes Up.

Our Journal and Publishing Press is staffed by a fully POC team, many of whom have experienced familial or personal dilemmas coping with thyroid related illnesses.

This is why we have decided to work with The Thyroid Trust, around International Awareness Week 2021, to promote a group of illnesses that are only rising in prominence in contemporary society. 

Issue 6 of Fahmidan Journal, published on 25th May, World Thyroid Day, will be dedicated to Autoimmune and Mental Health Warriors. We would like to take this opportunity to encourage anyone who would like to write about their experiences with thyroid Illnesses and their ramifications for this Issue.

It can be extremely disheartening and lonely to persevere coping with these conditions, but if we gain one thing from isolation, it must be that our words are heard no matter how faint, or cacophonous. But resolute, we must stand for our voices to be heard, as warriors silent, and in battle constant.

We would like to receive poetry, prose and opinion pieces.  There is no cost to submit to this issue, it is completely free for contributors. Submission details can be found using the link below!  Please do email us  if you have any questions.

Update 25/5/2021 - Fahmidan Journal Issue 6 Mental Health and Autoimmune warriors is out now and is completely outstanding. We will do a follow up blog post about it, for now - here is the link so you an read it for yourself. Thank you to everyone who contributed and to the Fahmidan Team for making it happen.
